Some awesome Cindy performances yesterday! Today is supposed to be a ‘recovery’ style Wednesday, we’re going to do that with a little twist today.
First, a word about Open Gyms: Be smart and listen to your body about whether you should do everything programmed for Open Gym. Shoulders a little tired? Maybe skip the press today. Legs feel like jello? Do the Squat Snatch as a Power. Feel run down and exhausted? Take a rest day.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about prepping for The Open. I like what Kate Rawlings from Coca CrossFit said yesterday on Facebook:
3 1/2 months until the qualification for the Reebok CrossFit Games start. What to compete as an individual or team? Not sure how to prepare?
Simple- WOD 5 days a week with 2 rest days.
– do EVERYTHING on the board EVERY time you WOD
– work weakness
– sleep 8-9 hours a night
– eat whole foods
– stretch and mobilize
