If you’ve noticed a shift in programming, day of the week-wise, this week you’re not crazy. We’ve moved Tuesday to Friday and shifted everything else up a day to make room for The Open WODs on Fridays. That means that yesterday we did On The Minute Oly work, today is a long WOD, and tomorrow is a partner WOD. The question was posed to me about when you should rest on this new schedule and the answer should be pretty obvious: Saturday/Sunday unless you’re doing The Open WODs on Saturday then you should rest Friday/Sunday. You were never supposed to rest on Wednesdays. For a couple of cycles we’ve been programming Skill/Not-For-Time recovery WODs on Wednesdays and we’ve seen a steady decline in attendance. Those that have shown up have made only small gains like Oly PRs and getting their 1st Muscle Ups all while putting in only a half-hearted effort.

We’ll return to that model of programming after The Open is over.
