Yesterday was a very busy day at the gym. The workout started in waves of 2 on the rower and was designed to be 16min long. I appreciate everyone working together to get in their squatting and the WOD within the limited time and large classes. And plenty of Back Squat PRs too!
Goal Setting is an extremely important part of CrossFit and life. I’ve put up a Goal Board in the back of the gym and I’d like everyone to take some time over the next week to write up 3 CrossFit Goals for 2012 and put at least one of them on the board.
What should these goals be? That’s up to you – but, they should follow goal writting rules of being SMART:
In addition to those rules we need to write goals in the present tense. As though they are certain of happening.
“I’d like to feel good” is a pretty lousy goal. How do you measure good? When do you want to feel good by? Etc.
“I have a Sub 3 Min RX’d Fran by July 4th 2012” is a Specific, Measurable, Timely goal. Is it Attainable and Realistice? Kinda depends on what your Fran time is now and how much work you’re willing to put into your thrusters and pullups.
