2012 CrossFit Games Open registration starts tomorrow at The Official Reebok CrossFit Games Site.
So, how does the CrossFit Open work? You register online, it’s like all of $10, and that gets you into the 5 week long competition. Every Wednesday the workout is announced. You have until Sunday to submit a score. We’ll be having an event each Saturday where everyone comes together and completes the workout. Can’t make it any or all Saturday’s? No sweat, we can do it anytime at the gym before Sunday. At the end of each week you upload your scores online and at the end of the Open the top 60 go to regionals.
Everyone should compete in the Open. Everyone. Competition is good. It will give you an idea what you need to work on, where you stand against other CrossFitters around the world, and you’ll get to do some fun WODs and meet some fun people. WODs can be scaled, though based on last years events I don’t think that will be required for most if not all participants.
