The first two days of the week have been pretty brutal so we’re going to slow it down today with some gymnastics movements and non-crushing workouts. In CrossFit we often have the desire to GOGOGO. To hit everything as hard and fast a possible so we can by lying in a pool of our own sweat at the end of it. As though being unable to breath is its own reward. This is a mistake though. The right thing to do is find a balance of intensity, rest, and life.

Often it’s not only OK to go easy on a workout but it’s actually BETTER for you to go “easy”. Now, I’m not saying that you should lighten up every WOD and just casually go through them – that would be an imbalance towards too much rest and not enough intensity. It is however important to understand that we at MTM program High and Low intensity workouts on purpose so that you can come in 4-6 times a week and get a great result without having to become a programming expert in your own right!
