Excellent Start to Virtuosity Week!!! We had huge classes yesterday and I expect today will be no different.
Today we’re working on Pressing, Double Unders and Pull Ups. We work on Push Jerk Skill pretty often, almost every warm up before a push jerk wod. But today we’re going to work that skill with weight in our warm up. As the weight becomes heavier our technique needs to get better and better. Jump, Punch, Land. Often the land get left out so we end up push pressing at higher weights.
Double Unders are about counting. When the rope hits your feet that wasn’t the last rep you did, that was a miss. If you’re doing 1/2 double under attempts then you’re good to count it. If you’re not then it was a no-rep.
Finally Pull ups, chin clearly over the bar – not from just the perfect angle it sorta looked like you made it – clearly over the bar. Body tight with legs straight and toes pointed. Make your body work for you, not against you.

During the 1 Min Rest you will switch with your judge and become their judge. So you’ll have 2 scored rounds and 2 Judge rounds today. It will all make sense when you come in today.
