We had two firsts yesterday at MTM – Yoke walks and the first time we had 70+ athletes through the gym in one day! I had no idea what to expect on the Yoke Walks and sure enough plenty of people surprised me with their efforts. Mike M walked 535lbs, thats 8 45s, while Jillian made 405lbs look easy on the ladies side.

But, more importantly, EVERYONE through yesterday was able to pick up the Yoke and walk with it!

IT is finally (finally) here. THE MTM v. APC Throwdown Tie-Breaker! We’ll have 2 variations on the first WOD then a 2nd part. Scoring will be COMBINED scores of the 3 different parts (Varsity, JV, WOD 2) for the top 2, top 3 M/W, top 3 M/W. Everyone can help us win today!

Varsity:

Muscle Up
Squat Snatch (135/95)

JV:
3 Rounds
30 Hand Release Push Ups
20 Air Squats
10 Clean and Jerks (95/65)

8 Min
1RM Deadlift

The entire WOD will last 18 Min. You will do the first WOD in a 10 Min Cap, if you finish before the Cap you can rest till 10 min. Then you’ll have 8 min to establish a 1RM deadlift, as much as you can pull from the ground. All 3 parts will score separetly so you could come in last in the JV WOD and 1st in the Deadlift and your deadlift score would help us win. Should be lots of fun!
